Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to design a web site?
We aim to have our web sites completed within two weeks, however delays are not usually due to us, but mostly down to waiting for text or images from the client. However if you say a deadline and we say we'll meet it, we promise to meet it.
What is hosting and why do I have to pay it?
Once your website is designed, it needs to be stored on a computer so that anybody in the world can access it anytime. This costs a hosting fee. Its a bit like renting a home for your website - if it didn't have a home, no-one could visit it! Our hosting rates are highly competitive and extremely reliable.
Why are you so cheap?
We believe we're good at our jobs, and thus make the most efficient use of time. We love web design, and therefore we want as many clients as possible. We keep the prices low, and the clients happy - our number one aim!
After my site is designed, how much do alterations cost?
We charge alterations to your site in the fairest way possible. Our current rate is £3.50 for every 15 minutes worth of work.
Do you ask for a deposit before designing my site?
For the basic 5 page, £149 site, we usually ask for a 10% deposit. For larger projects we ask for one third up front, with the balance payable on completion.
Why do I need a web site?
"8/10 users said they would contact a business with a web site first" (BMRM 2007) A web presence opens your business not just on a global level, but often more prominently on a local level. Visitors to your area may look for businesses like yours online. A web site also adds professionalism to your business. Business cards and stationery can all have the web site on, making your company look more professional.
